Alfa Water has created a patented upgrade for Filtrex water filtration systems.
Unlike traditional heavy multi-layer cartridges, the Alfa Water solution uses an optimised three-layer structure designed to maximise the available filtration area and simplify maintenance.
After the modification kit has been installed, you only need to replace the filter fabric every ~5 years, which fits in an envelope and no special tools are required for replacing this filter.
First installation took place in 2022 and 400 Filtrex modification kits have been installed since on more than 200 vessels.
