GVT MkIV system information:
The GVT Single Line MkIV is a Gas Valve Train designed to be connected through piping from the Fuel Gas Supply (FGS) system to gas consumers such as internal combustion engines. The GVT MkIV has a simple design and is easy to maintain. It carries the experience of its predecessor, while playing a role in the future engines that are meeting the future emissions regulations.
 
The GVT MkIV is controlled by the engine control system. Its main functionality is to supply the 2 stroke ME-GI MkII engine, both in the initial slow pressure build-up scenario, and in the normal supply condition.
 
The GVT MkIV will stop the gas supply to the engine in case of normal or emergency shutdown, and bleed through the vent header. The GVT MkIV will open its blow-off valves to support the ME-GI MkII in a blow-off condition. The gas from the pipes will then be released through the GVT MkIV. If purging from the GVT is necessary, a non-permanent connection has been fitted for manual purge.
